Take Your First Step to Peace of Mind with a HomeWell Consultation

When an elderly parent suffers a fall or injury and needs help at home, it’s an anxious time. You’ll be there for them right away, but what happens in the long term?

You might worry that you live too far away, or wonder how you’ll manage your own family while also helping your parent recover at home. More immediately, you might worry about how to talk openly with your loved one about their needs.  It’s important to know that you’re not alone—and that help is at hand.

This month, Lifetime TV’s Designing Spaces highlights an option that can make all the difference: an expert consultation with HomeWell Care Services. Watch the video below to find out more.

We’ll help you take the first step

“Many families struggle in having these conversations with aging family members,” says Ronnie Taylor, the HomeWell Care Services owner featured in the episode. “Part of what we offer is a consultation and assessment where clients and their family members can talk openly about what is going on.”

In the video above, Phyllis explains that she isn’t looking for someone to manage her schedule, but to help with important tasks around the kitchen and bathroom, where falls tend to happen most. Ronnie illustrates that a HomeWell assistant can unload the dishwasher and take out the trash, and stay outside the bathroom while Phyllis bathes, in case she needs help.

We work with you, for you

Every family and its needs are different, which is why there’s no one-size fits all approach with HomeWell. You’ll be assigned an expert Care Manager who’ll assess your loved one’s home and their needs carefully to develop the right care plan for you.

It doesn’t have to be illness or injury-related: your care plan can include companionship, meal preparation, driving, gardening assistance and other activities. It can also address more serious concerns like Alzheimers, Parkinsons or—as in our Designing Spaces episode—a transition from the hospital after a fall.

Whatever the need, the team at your local HomeWell Care Services have the training and experience to lend you a compassionate, confident helping hand.
