About Us

In caring for Steve’s father for almost seven years, Leslie and Steve learned what it means for family members to fully care for a loved one 24 hours, 7 days a week. They learned that, if possible, being around family members who genuinely care and being in a safe place is essential for maintaining mental and physical health as we age.

After caring for Steve ‘s Dad, they knew that they had learned lessons from which others could benefit. It was the opportunity of a lifetime to relate to and be able calm someone’s adult child whose parent is embarking on the challenges of aging. Why? Because they’ve been there. Leslie and Steve understand the stress of unexpected change, identifying the care that’s needed when it’s needed, managing various healthcare providers, and negotiating the healthcare matrix.

Steve and Leslie have both made careers in service industries. Prior to opening HomeWell, Steve served two large healthcare delivery systems. Under Steve’s consultation and expertise, he led nationally-recognized healthcare organizations in enterprise-wide performance improvement programs that supported the quality of the patient experience and coordination of care. Leslie has 35+ years of award-winning customer service experience in the consumer goods sector. Her professional knowledge ranges from managing employees and operations to sales and marketing. Leslie is also adept at identifying and addressing needs and attaining high levels of client satisfaction.

There are many reasons why someone may need at-home care. Whether recovering from an injury, living with a disability or simply growing older, the familiarity and comfort of continuing to live at home can be tremendously important to emotional wellbeing. With our proactive approach to in-home care, our specially trained team of caregivers and Care Managers advocate for both you and your loved ones in order to provide the highest level of comfort, compassion and care through open communication and personalized care management.

Responsive Care Managers

HomeWell assigns each client a dedicated Care Manager whose sole purpose is to ensure the highest level of customized in-home care to meet your needs and your budget. Your Care Manager will initiate a comprehensive needs assessment and create a personalized plan regarding:

• Levels of Care
• Frequency of Care
• Special Programs

Once a plan is in place, your Care Manager will monitor daily care logs and maintain regular contact with everyone involved to ensure each client’s physical and emotional well-being. And because life can be unpredictable, your Care Manager can also recommend or make adjustments to your care plan at any time, as needed.

As a home care agency founded by a caregiver, we put the utmost importance on providing at-home caregivers who are knowledgeable, kind, patient and trustworthy. We understand the complexities of the aging process
and other variables that can affect the physical and emotional demands of each specific case. Whether we’re providing everyday support or specialized care, we tailor our approach to provide the appropriate level of care and attention. Our Care Managers strive to select the caregivers who best suit each client’s personality and specific care needs. And because we put a high priority on both safety and quality, all HomeWell caregivers are fully screened, pass a stringent national identity and background check, have excellent references, and undergo comprehensive competency testing.
