What is Hospice Care Support?
Hospice care is given when curative treatment is no longer the goal, typically in the last six months of life. Our role is to safeguard your loved one’s quality of life in their final months with compassionate caregiving and emotional companionship in the comfort and familiarity of home.
- A helping hand: We help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, grooming, and dressing, shopping, hygiene and more, giving you a break to recharge and more quality time to spend with your loved one.
- A compassionate ear: Our caregivers understand the anxiety that your loved one and your family are facing. They’re here to listen, reassure and provide companionship.
- A watchful eye: We work closely with your hospice care provider to understand and support their care plan. We provide medication reminders and let them know if your loved one’s quality of life changes.
Is Hospice Care Support right for my loved one?
If your loved one is receiving hospice care due to declining health or a condition such as Alzheimer’s disease, ALS / Lou Gehrig’s disease, cancer, COPD, cardiac disease, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease, they could benefit from HomeWell’s Hospice Care Support.
