Since our beginnings in 1996, we have been providing compassionate, quality care to those that choose to remain in wherever they call home. Our company has had many firsts and we’ll continue to grow and innovate in order to further our mission to bring in-home care to those that need it the most.

Our History

Joshua’s Home Helpers is started with the original brand programLEAP. (Life Enrichment & Activities Program). Founded by Joshua Hoffman, a caregiver himself, he saw the benefits his clients experienced when they could stay in their homes for as long as possible.

Joshua’s Home Helpers name is changed to HomeWell Senior Care with the goal of franchising. Along with the new name, a new logo is also created.

The corporate headquarters are moved from Seattle, WA to Burkburnett, TX with eight associates.

The GoHomeWell post medical care program launches. Specifically designed to serve our clients needing care upon arriving home from an acute hospital or rehabilitation stay

The SureStep fall prevention program launches. Knowing that the fear of falling prevents many seniors from staying active, SureStep was designed to help identify if a client is a fall risk.

HomeWell Senior Care undergoes a new visual brand identity, new logo and brand name change to reflect the company’s mission to deliver on every aspect of quality care. The updated brand identity received recognition from the home care industry and was immediately noticed by those seeking to own a home care franchise. The company name is changed to HomeWell Care Services to better represent all those that we serve with care in the comfort of their home, including seniors and non-seniors, such as veterans, new moms, those recovering from surgery and many others.

The first Heart of HomeWell award is given to Kimberly Van Meter from the HomeWell location in Columbus, OH. Nominations were received from all HomeWell locations. The award is presented to a caregiver that has gone above and beyond to provide trusted care and true compassion.

Crystal Franz is appointed as chief executive officer. The executive leadership team is restructured, further strengthening the management team with executives deeply experienced in their respective fields.
